About Us
InfraGard, an FBI Program with 86 local InfraGard chapters nationwide and a membership of over 45,000 vetted U.S. Citizens, is an
information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members.
At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of
businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing
information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. Membership in InfraGard is free, but requires
the approval of the Federal Bureau of Investigation through a security risk assessment.
InfraGard has grown beyond its original computer security roots and is now organized and focused on 18 critical infrastructures and key resources as identified in Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7 (HSPD 7).
Critical Infrastructures and Key Resources
Critical infrastructures and key resources are so vital to our national security that their incapacity or destruction would have a debilitating impact on the defense, economic security, public health or national confidence of the United States.
Critical infrastructures are physical and cyber-based systems that are essential to the minimum operations of the economy and the government (as defined in Presidential Decision Directive/NSC 63, May 1998 ). InfraGard has Subject Matter Experts around the country in each of the following 18 categories of critical infrastructures and key resources, as recognized by the National Infrastructure Protection Plan:

Arizona InfraGard is committed to protecting Arizona and the United States through information sharing in partnership with the Phoenix Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
In 2005, the InfraGard National Members Alliance signed a memorandum of agreement with the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In 2006, through the partnership with the Arizona Counterterrorism Information Center, InfraGard in Arizona is in alliance with the DHS Protective Security Advisor assigned to the state.
In 2006, Arizona InfraGard entered into partnership with the Arizona Counterterrorism Information Center, the Arizona Tech Protect Council, and the Arizona Department of Emergency Management. These associations ensure InfraGard members have direct access to law enforcement agencies investigating and preventing crime and terrorism, counterintelligence agencies investigating and preventing espionage and economic espionage, and the emergency management agencies preparing for and responding to Arizona emergencies.
